Charlie Griffin Road, just west of State Road 39 (James L. Redman Parkway), will close for 17 days in Plant City.

The Florida Department of Transportation says the closure starts at 12:01 AM on Wednesday, Nov. 4, weather permitting.

Drivers must detour via Trapnell Road and Mud Lake Road. This detour gives access to Charlie Griffin Road from SR 39.

Northbound and southbound lanes on SR 39 remain open during this phase of construction.

Crews will replace the asphalt travel lanes with concrete pavement. The work is at the intersection of SR 39 and Charlie Griffin Road.

Drivers may experience delays and congestion on nearby roads. Message boards and signs will guide drivers through the area.

FDOT reminds commercial vehicles and trucks to follow the posted detour. They must not use local roads as alternate routes.

FDOT expects the construction to finish in early 2027, weather permitting.
