Students in a machine class at Armwood High School recently visited a precision machine shop in Tampa. Hillsborough County Public Schools shared news of the trip in a post on Oct. 23.
The students toured Southern Manufacturing Technologies. They saw many parts of the production process. These parts included machine work, tools and quality inspection. The students also saw engineering, finish work and production schedules.
The school district says trips like this connect class lessons to real careers in advanced manufacturing.
